Who Is Thaigem.com?
Thaigem.com is a wholly owned subsidiary of GemsTV Holdings Ltd. and is part of an integrated colored gem and jewelry manufacturer and television home shopping retailer. We operate our business primarily through our manufacturing subsidiary in Thailand and our GemsTV television and internet home shopping subsidiaries in the USA, the UK and Japan. GemsTV employs over 1,000 people worldwide and GemsTV Holdings Limited, the holding company of the GemsTV Group, is listing on the Singapore Stock Exchange (GEMS SP).
Jewelry
We operate our own jewelry manufacturing facilities in Chanthaburi, Thailand, located approximately 250 km from Bangkok. Every piece of jewelry we manufacture is handcrafted by our skilled artisans and jewelry specialists and then sold direct to customers via television through a "reverse auction" system on GemsTV. Our jewelry is available only through our dedicated television home shopping channels in the USA, the UK, and Japan and online in the USA at www.gemstv.com, in the UK at www.gemstv.co.uk and in Japan at www.gemstv.co.jp.

Thailand is one of the world's leading gem and jewelry centers and Chanthaburi is the gem trading capital of Thailand. Our gem experience and market position in Chanthaburi enable us to acquire a wide variety of gemstones from around the world. In the past decade alone, we have sold over 170 different gem varieties, including gemstones from the beryl, corundum, garnet, quartz, topaz and tourmaline families.

Back in their home countries, they will apply a markup anywhere from 50–150%, and this is simply to get the gems into the hands of the retailer, who then adds a further 100–200% markup.
