	An excellent Diamond alternative, Danburite is a relatively unknown gemstone that is rapidly growing in popularity.
Legends & Lore
	Danburite, discovered in 1839, is named after Danbury, Connecticut where it first was unearthed. Interestingly, the original deposits are now inaccessible as they lie under a major metropolitan area!

Metaphysically, Danburite is believed by some to be a powerful intellectual activator and an excellent healing tool that aids with communication and relationships.
 

Although most Danburite is grayish and opaque, fine quality transparent Danburite is colorless or white. Shades of yellow, pink and brown can also be found.
 

Danburite are rare crystals of Calcium Boron Silicate (CaB2Si2O8), the best of which are usually found in Mexico. Danburite is also found in Japan, Madagascar, Switzerland, Germany and U.S.A.
